We believe belonging should never depend on someone’s financial situation.
That’s why our community and many of our future resources will always remain free.
Belonging shouldn’t have a monthly fee.
We originally considered building Globetrotting Dodo around memberships. But the more this project evolved, the clearer one thing became.
Many of the people this community hopes to support are navigating burnout, ADHD, autism, anxiety, invisible disabilities, financial uncertainty or simply difficult periods in life. The people who need community most shouldn’t be excluded because they can’t afford another subscription.
Instead, we want to build something that stays accessible to everyone. Those who are able to contribute can help make that possible for everyone else.

A personal note
From one solo traveller to another.
Hi, I’m Dorien.
After working in human rights and experiencing ADHD burnout myself, I started travelling to better understand what helps people feel safe, connected and free to be themselves.
Along the way, I realised something was missing. Not another travel website. But a place where people who experience the world differently could truly belong.
Today, Globetrotting Dodo is still a one-person project. Every page, every conversation, every idea and every step forward is built with care.
One day, people who believe in this mission will be able to help support it. Not because access should cost money. But because together we can keep it free for everyone.
